Tragic Plane Crash at Reagan National Airport with US Army Chopper Captured in Video

Plane Crash at Reagan National Airport captured in video footage clearly shows how US Army Chopper rammed the passenger airline approaching the runway.
As per the reports coming in, a tragic US passenger plane crashed mid-air with US Army Black Hawk Helicopter while approaching the runway 33 at Reagan National Airport, Washington D.C over Potomac River. Incident happened around 9.00 PM local time.
As per US Federal Aviation Administration, "A PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet collided in midair with a Sikorsky H-60 helicopter while on approach to Runway 33 at Reagan Washington National Airport around 9 p.m. local time. PSA was operating as Flight 5342 for American Airlines. It departed from Wichita, Kansas."
It has been reported that there were 60 passengers were onboard and 4 crew members on the American Airlines plane & 3 persons were on board on US Army Chopper which was flying with call sign PAT25. At the time of writing this reports, there has been confirmed 18 dead bodies has been recovered from the Potomac River and rescue operations was undergoing.
As per the NBC News one official has confirmed that the US Army Chopper was on the training flight.
As per the confirmation from US FAA, NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) is leading the investigation of the plane crash with FAA. NTSB has confirmed the same via X post: "NTSB has launched a go-team to the aviation accident involving a PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 airplane and a Sikorsky H-60 military helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport."
One of the user on X has posted the video of the tragic incident in which it has been clearly seen that PSA airline was approaching the runway when US army chopper came from right side and hit the plane mid-air which caused a huge explosion mid-air.
The Fire and Emergency Services chief John Donnelly said that over 300 first responders are currently involved in the rescue efforts at the place of the plane crash in the Potomac River in Washington DC.

As per the post by Flight Radar, Black Hawk Helicopter was not broadcasting ADS-B data around the timing of collision. Post states that, "The FAA confirms tonight’s collision near DCA involved AA5342 and a US military H60. The helicopter was not broadcasting ADS-B data. The last received ADS-B position from the CRJ was at 01:48 UTC. AA5342 was enroute from Wichita to Washington (DCA) and was on final approach for Runway 33 at an approximate altitude of 300 feet AMSL."
ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) is a critical technology in modern aviation that enhances flight safety, efficiency, and situational awareness. Here’s how ADS-B data is used during flight. Primary use of ADS-B is it broadcasts an aircraft’s GPS-derived position, altitude, speed, and identification to air traffic control (ATC) and nearby aircraft. Also, unlike traditional radar, ADS-B works in remote areas (e.g., oceans, mountains) where radar coverage is limited.
US Secretary Of Defense Pete Hegseth has posted on X announcing that investigation has been launched by US Army & Department of Defense in the accident involving US Army chopper.
After the incident, all takeoffs and landings at Reagan Airport were halted.
We will provide further updates as the investigation and rescue operations goes on.
