China imposed sanctions against Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and 26 other US companies in retaliation to US military sales to Taiwan

China imposed sanctions on 28 US companies including Boeing & Lockheed Martin are in response to US military sales to Taiwan, escalating tensions between the two nations.
This move by China comes amidst discussions going around in the US about potentially banning Chinese drones, highlighting a reciprocal trade and security conflict.
Earlier U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) have sanctioned Chinese-backed cybersecurity firm - Integrity Tech. Due to its alleged role in a number of malicious cyberattacks against the U.S. perpetrated by the Chinese state-sponsored Flax Typhoon cyber group.
It has been learned that there may be several reasons & triggers due to which China has imposed sanctions on 28 US Companies:
- Military sales to Taiwan.
- US Defence Spending Bill.
- China specific companies target in recent US sanctions.
